The instant pot at its best. Super moist cake with really easy chocolate sauce. Who doesn't love this combo?
approx time: 30 mins prep, 55 mins cooking Adapted from Melaniecooks.com Special tool: Instant Pot and pyrex glass dish to fit inside

Ingredients:
For the cake:
1 ripe mashed banana
1 egg
1 cup sugar
6 tbsp softened butter
2/3 cup milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups flour, do not pack 2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
For the chocolate drizzle:
1 cup dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 cup milk chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
Directions for cake:
Grease bowl that fits inside of the instant pot. We use a round glass pyrex dish. Beat together sugar and egg until light and fluffy. Add banana, milk, butter and vanilla and mix until combined. Add remaining dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Pour batter into prepared dish.
Pour 1 cup of water into the instant pot. Add trivet. Cover the cake mixture dish with a layer of paper towel and then wrap tightly with aluminum foil.
Place dish into instant pot on top of the trivet. Close lid, make sure the valve is set to sealing position. Select "pressure cook" or "manual", set time to 55 minutes on high pressure.
When done, quick release the steam. Open lid and carefully remove the cake dish. Careful, it's hot.
Let cool and then turn out cake onto a cake plate larger than the base of the cake.
Directions for chocolate drizzle:
Heat cream over medium heat. Take off heat and pour over chopped chocolate. Let sit for 2 minutes and then stir until smooth.
Drizzle over cooled cake. We love chocolate so by the time we are done drizzling, you couldn't see the cake! Maybe we went a bit overboard? Take our word for it though, this cake is insanely good.
Enjoy! xx
